Uganda – Day 3 – 5

So much happens daily that it is hard to choose what to share. These posts and photos give just a sliver of our days here! Tonight we went around the table and shared how we saw God at work today. One shared about our time with Dominic. Dominic is a diabetic whose wife left him and he is raising a son who is deaf. She shared about his joy and attitude despite his feet having sores which make it difficult for him to walk. He was thankful he is so much better than he was prior to receiving medical support from Arrows and Hope and giving all glory to God. Another shared she saw God at work in a young woman we visited who graduated from the program and now is able to support herself with the skill she learned while being sponsored. She also saw God in a woman named Els who has been working for over 20 years with HIV-positive children and children who are malnourished. This woman, from the Netherlands, shared her story with us during our visit to her ministry in Soroti call Amecet. Another on our team shared that seeing her sponsor child’s mother, who is HIV positive look so healthy and joyful was how she saw God at work. We also talked about seeing God in the lives of the children who have been part of the ministry for many years now. Children who had no smiles, no expressions, no hope, to young men and women with dreams, who are talkative, full of smiles, and give all the glory to God!
